Our Leadership

Steve Kreloff

Steve Kreloff is the pastor/teacher at Lakeside Community Chapel in Clearwater, Florida. He has been on staff at Lakeside since 1976, serving as pastor since 1981. The emphasis of his ministry is the expository teaching of the word of God.

Steve is a Jewish Christian who, while a student at the University of South Florida, received Jesus as Messiah, Lord and Savior. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Tampa Bay Theological Seminary (now called Dallas Seminary, Tampa Bay Extension).

He has been a contributing editor for the magazine "Israel My Glory," and has written articles for this and other magazines including "Masterpiece." He has also written two books: "God's Plan For Israel, A Study of Romans 9-11," and "Expository Preaching and Teaching."

Steve serves on the Mission Board of Aurora Ministries. He and his wife, Michele, have three children who love and serve Christ. Steve and Michele have also ministered extensively to correctional chaplains through seminars across the country.

Joe Trofemuk

Joe Trofemuk is the Administrative Pastor at Lakeside Community Chapel. He assumed the responsibilities of the position on July 1, 2007. As administrative pastor Joe has oversight over the various ministries of the church. He also teaches and shepherds the FaithBuilders adult Sunday school class.

Joe attended Florida State University, earning an Associate of Arts Degree. Thereafter he earned Bachelor of Science in Laws and Juris Doctor degrees from Western State University College of Law in San Diego, CA. Joe began studies at The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, CA in 2000, graduating in 2004 with a Masters of Divinity degree.

Prior to entering full time ministry at Lakeside, Joe was a practicing attorney in California for over 14 years. He actively served in a lay capacity in the local churches with which he was affiliated. This included service for the last seven years (2000-2007) at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. He co-led Bible Studies in both the Crossroads College Ministry and the GraceLife Adult Fellowship groups while at Grace Community Church.

Joe has been married to his wife Debbie for over 15 years, and they have three daughters: Rachel, Heather, and Christine.

Spencer King

Spencer King is the Youth Pastor at Lakeside Community Chapel. He has been on staff at Lakeside since 1997. In addition to serving as Youth Pastor, Spencer also serves as School Pastor at Lakeside Christian School.

Spencer, originally from Southern California, attended The Master's College receiving a B.A. degree in Communication. He later graduated from the The Master's Seminary with a Master's degree in Divinity. While attending college and seminary, he served in the children's ministry and later in the youth ministry at Grace Community Church under Pastor John MacArthur in Sun Valley, California before coming to Lakeside.

Spencer came to know Christ as a freshman in high school and has worked with teenagers and children for over twenty years. His heart is for the growth and discipleship of the youth for Christ. Along with his staff, the emphasis of the youth ministries he leads at Lakeside Community Chapel and at Lakeside Christian School is to make sure that every aspect of the ministry to the youth and their parents reflects and exemplifies God's Glory, Majesty, and Excellence.

Curt Sharbaugh

Curt Sharbaugh is the Associate Pastor at Lakeside Community Chapel since July of 2007. One of his specific areas of ministry is the pastoral oversight of Lakeside's ministry to children and their parents.

Curt graduated from the Moody Bible Institute with a B.A. in Bible and Theology and from Wheaton College Graduate School with an M.A. in Biblical Exegesis. He was also involved in an internship program at College Church in Wheaton, Illinois, while attending graduate school. After graduating, he was the Middle School Bible Teacher and Dean of Upper School Students for 2 years at Lakeside Christian School. While teaching at LCS, he was part of LCC's youth staff, working under Pastor Spencer King.

Curt was called to repentance toward God and faith in Christ at an early age and grew up in the church. He has been involved in ministry to children, youth, and adults since high school. He has been married to his ministry partner, Laura, since 2003. Curt's desire is to partner with the parents of Lakeside in entrusting the next generation with the gospel of Christ for the glory of God.
