Oliver came to Lakeside as a teenager, along with his family, in 2004. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Clearwater Christian College in December of 2012. Since early 2013, he has been working at Lakeside Christian School as the High School Bible teacher. He received his MDiv. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2021. He joined the Elder board at Lakeside in 2024. 

His primary responsibilities at the church include overseeing the widow's ministry, overseeing the community groups, leading the community fellowship Sunday school classes, and working alongside Jack Jenkins in the shepherding ministry. 

He has been married to Olivia since July 2013. He and his wife have four beautiful children: Miriam, Penny, Haddie, and Carver.
