Lakeside Community Chapel was founded in 1954. Known then as Fellowship Baptist Church, the ministry moved to the High Point Community Hall in 1956, and in 1963 erected its building on Hercules Avenue in Clearwater and became Grace Baptist Church. In 1974, the church moved to its current location on Sunset Point Road in Clearwater, FL and changed its name to Lakeside Community Chapel.
Our elders are responsible for the oversight, direction, and rule of the church. The elders are pastors of the church, and they are responsible to shepherd the flock. The deacons function as assistants to the elders and have the responsibility of taking care of the needs of the congregation. All elders and deacons are required to meet the biblical qualifications of their office (1 Timothy and Titus). The development of new leadership is a priority of Lakeside.
Our ultimate desire is to glorify God. Jesus said, "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven" (Matthew 5:16)
