2 Timothy 2:15 NASB
AWANA is scheduled to return on 9/8/2021. Check the event calendar for specific days.
The purpose of AWANA clubs is to help parents as they raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. AWANA at Lakeside accomplishes this by teaching the gospel and its implications from the Bible and encouraging children to turn from their sin, trust in Christ for Salvation, memorize God's Word, and put it into practice.
AWANA Clubs are for kids ages 3 through 6th grade. We meet during the school year in the Lakeside Christian School (upstairs and downstairs in the School Building) on Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM until 8:05 PM. The time is broken down into 3 main activities: counsel time, handbook time, and game time. During counsel time, leaders teach children God’s Word using a curriculum from Children Desiring God ministries. During handbook time, clubbers recite memorized verses and complete sections in their AWANA handbooks. During game time, children enjoy playing a variety of team games and have occasional special activities.
If you are interested in helping with this ministry or signing up your child, you can contact Steve Edewaard through the church office. Leader applicants will need to complete some Children’s ministry paperwork which includes a background check.
