In reference to the early church, we read the following in Acts 2:42:" And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers."

At Lakeside, we receive wonderful teaching, rich instruction, and sound doctrine from the pulpit. Yet, we recognize that believers need more than exposure to the preached Word. We want to follow the model of the early church set forth for us in the Book of Acts. These community groups are being established to do just that. We hope and pray that these will help us balance sound doctrine and fervent love, which are the very bedrock of the Christian faith.

Our home fellowship groups will meet each week in homes scattered throughout the area to foster deeper relationships, enjoy mutual fellowship, and bear each other's burdens through prayer. However, the main focus of our groups will be the discussion of the Sunday morning sermon and its application to our daily lives.

Sign-ups for the groups will go live Sunday, March 17 at 1 PM with the plan to have the groups start meeting as of April 14. Each group has limited space, so once a group is full, that sign-up will be inactive. We are excited to include not only adults but youth and children as well, so when you sign up for your family, please include those children who plan to participate in the group discussion as participants. We will provide childcare for younger children, so please include them in the childcare portion.

Below is a list of the community groups that will be offered. Please review it and decide what will work best for you and your family. We strongly encourage you to join a group so that you might minister to others and be ministered to by others. We are so excited for these groups to begin and pray that you will join us!
